Care Ministry
Pastoral Care of the Sick
Please notify the Parish Office when someone is seriously ill and/or in the hospital to arrange for an individual celebration of the sacrament or to be added to the parish prayer list. Also, when our prayers have been answered, please notify the parish office at parishsecretary@zionsvillecatholic.com so that we might remove him/her from the Prayer list.
The Holy Eucharist is taken by a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion to shut-ins and nursing homes weekly. Contact Kim Overmyer at 873-2885, ext 102 or email her at faithformation@zionsvillecatholic.com if you would like to be placed on the Parish Friends list for monthly visits.
Parish Friends - Members of the parish visit those who reside in our local nursing homes (Zionsville Meadows and Hoosier Village) or those who are homebound. These visits are social and help keep folks connected to their spiritual home. To join this ministry, please contact Kimberly.
Masses at Nursing Homes - Father celebrates Mass at Zionsville Meadows at 10:00 on the first Thursday of every month. He also celebrates Mass at Hoosier Village at 10:00 on the second Thursday of every month.
Hospital Visits - When a parish member or one of their relatives contacts the parish office 873-2885 to inform us they are in the hospital, we are able to provide the sacrament of Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, and the Eucharist upon request.
Ministry of Praise - We are all called to participate in the work of the Church. For those who are unable to participate in parish ministry on-site, we invite them to participate in the work of prayer through our Ministry of Praise. Those participating in this prayer ministry receive a monthly newsletter with prayer intentions and prayers of thanksgiving, monthly saint information, parish news, and other items of interest. If you would like to receive this monthly newsletter, please email Kimberly or call 873-2885.
