Annulment
A marriage can be annulled if a spouse in incapable of entering into a loving union because of immaturity, psychological problems, or similar reasons, or if forced to marry. In addition, a marriage is invalid in the church if one of the spouses is not free to marry because of a previous marriage.
To apply for an annulment, please contact one of the priests at Saint Alphonsus Liguori who will assist you in the application process. If an annulment is to be granted, it will not be through the parish but through the Marriage Tribunal of the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana.
