Religious Life "I can only truly be myself if I go where God has called me and that is where I'll find the most joy. That joy just overflows when you are doing His will." - Sr. Chiara, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity
Women who have entered a consecrated life play a number of roles in our church, parishes, schools, hospitals and throughout the world. In a consecrated life, women take vows that articulate prayer, charity and a simple life among others. Some women are called to a contemplative life and others are seen working in public. Each community of religious sisters have their own unique charism they offer and share. Every vocation and role a sister has is important to us all. It is a blessing to have them and the many gifts which God has given them to use.
