Children’s Liturgy of the Word - each Sunday
During Sundays of Advent, Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered for our youngest parishioners at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. All children who have not yet received their First Communion are welcome to follow their friends at the start of Mass to the Reception Room where they will learn and discuss the readings of the day with this interactive program created especially for them!
Parish Crèche - throughout the season of Advent
Watch the parish’s crèche grow throughout the season of Advent as more statues are added to the manger scene that will soon house baby Jesus at the 12 a.m. Christmas Mass. Coins thrown into the crèche bucket go toward adding future pieces.
Spirituality Series with the Diocese – Mondays, December 2, 9 & 16; 7 – 8:30 p.m.
The Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception and Pastoral Office for Catechesis is hosting a 2013 Advent Spirituality Series. Here are topics that will take place inside the Bishops’ Memorial Hall.
December 2 – The Focolare Movement, presented by Sid & Donna Hayden from St. Joan of Arc Parish
December 9 – The Schoenstatt Movement, presented by Suzanne Gardiner from St. Joseph Parish
December 16 – The Cursillo Movement, presented by John Ameis from Our Lady of Grace Parish
Advent Adoration - each Friday in Advent beginning at 9:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. the following Saturday
Adoration will be available in the Day Chapel beginning around 9:30 a.m. and continuing until just before the Saturday morning Mass throughout the season of Advent. Look for signup sheets in the narthex to commit to spending a half hour, or full hour, with Jesus.
First Reconciliation - Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Members of the parish's Religious Education program will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Join them and their families in the church.
Coffee n' Donuts - Sunday, December 8 following morning Masses
Bring your family and those sitting in the pew next to you to Parish Hall after Mass for food and fellowship.
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception - Monday, December 9 at 9 a.m. in the church
Since December 8 falls on Sunday, the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is superseded by the 2nd Sunday of Advent. However, this important solemnity does not just disappear this year. Instead, it is transferred to Monday, December 9. Even though it is not considered a day of obligation this year, Mass for the feast day will still be celebrated. Offertory gifts for this collection may be submitted at the Mass, or you may place specially marked envelopes in the offertory at the weekend Masses.

Tuesday, December 24 (vigil): 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, December 25: 12 a.m. (midnight) and 9 a.m.
