LATEST DISASTER RELIEF EFFORT: November 15, 2013 - The Outreach Committee has placed envelopes in the pews for this and next weekend (November 16/17 & 23/24) to support communities and people affected by the recent disaster in the Philippines. The envelopes will be collected and sent to Catholic Relief Services via the diocese. Please place envelopes in the offertory basket, give them to the office or sign on to your online giving account. Checks may be made payable to: St. Alphonsus Church. The parish will collect all designated funds and then forward on one contribution check to the diocese to be sent on to Catholic Relief Services. Online givers: You may also to give to the relief efforts by selecting the "Disaster Relief: Philippines" category in your online giving account. CRS responds to international disasters each year. They currently help in several regions around the globe. Not only do they respond immediately to natural disasters, they stay in these communities to help them re-build for the long term.

CCUSA works with first responders (Red Cross & Salvation Army) to provide basic needs after the initial impact of a disaster. Additionally, they work to develop long-term plans to help communities truly rebuild.
