The following students are active Catholics with a desire to continue attending services while on exchange:
Joohak is a 14 year old boy from S. Korea. His favorite school subjects are Korean History, Chinese, P.E., and English. When he was small he lived abroad with his mother on an overseas mission, first in New Zealand and later in Brazil. He attended an American school in Brazil. He currently attends a Catholic school in Korea. He enjoys watching movies with his friends, especially Marvel movies like, 'Black Panther.' He enjoys playing the guitar or singing karaoke and finds them soothing. He likes cooking and watching Gordon Ramsay cooking videos. He says, "I will make the most of the opportunity and make it to be an important turning point of my life. Most of all, I expect to study and learn in more interesting and exciting ways than in my home country. It will become a valuable asset to me."
Truc is a 15 yr old girl from Vietnam. Truc is the oldest of three girls, attends Catholic church services weekly at home and would like to continue in the US and be placed in a family with children. ‘I prefer outdoor activities to indoor activities so I usually play sports after school and I spend almost my free time hanging out to shopping, go to the cinema or go out for a meal with my friends. Furthermore, I often go camping in my summer vacation.’
Adrian is a 15 year old boy from Mexico. His favorite school subjects are Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. He is currently the President of his class and Vice President of his high school. He enjoys spending time with his family, his friends, and going to church each week. He likes listening to English-language music. He describes himself as outgoing and a lifelong learner. He says, "I want to go to the United States because it is my favorite country with nice places to visit or live and also because you have the most popular language in the world.
