Join us on Sunday, November 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. as we dive into the new translation of the Roman Missal through informative presentations and interactive games.
This Advent, parishes across the United States will be celebrating Mass with the 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal. The new edition is a closer translation to the Latin text used during the early history of the Catholic Church. Some 13 English speaking countries/provinces have been applying the new translation as parishes of the United States aimed to start on Sunday, November 27.
Last week concluded the Parish Liturgy Retreat at Saint Alphonsus Liguori. Throughout the course of three evenings, the retreat introduced the new translation to parishioners while also taking a look at the history of the Roman Missal and the Scriptural roots to many of the prayers used throughout Mass.
If you were unable to attend the Parish Liturgy Retreat, we have a special workshop to help introduce the new translation to you and your family. Join us on Sunday, November 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Parish Hall as Father O'Keeffe and directors from the parish staff will walk guests through the new translations. Attendees will hear the new sound and words to the Gloria and even test their skills with some fun interactive games.
Much of the information will be a review from the content covered during the Parish Liturgy Retreat. We hope to see you at this liturgy workshop!
