I look forward to the opportunity to serve the parish as a member of the Parish Pastoral Council and hope that you will consider voting for me. Myself, my wife, Stormi, and my two children Mia (10) and Kaitlyn (8) have been members of Saint Alphonsus Ligouri for the past eight years and have enjoyed our church family. Both children have received their First Holy Communion at the Parish. We have watched the church community grow and flourish over the past several years and are committed to seeing that growth continue. I have previously taught Religious Education and I am involved in the Zionsville youth soccer league as a coach. Recently I have begun hearing the call to give more of my time and talents to our parish community and then somebody nominated me for parish council! I believe that I have many qualities and talents to contribute to help lead the Council in the challenges, opportunities, and decisions it faces. I look forward to accepting the challenge to be called to help move the parish of St. Alphonsus forward in the coming years.

As Catholics, the best any of us can do is try to hear God's calling and then act on it. It's a little intimidating and confusing. But in the end, whatever it is that the Holy Spirit is trying to instill is more than worth investigating. I don't know for sure if He's calling on me to think about a leadership role at St. Alphonsus, but here I am, listening. I'm happy to just be a member of our great parish. In my family's 14 years here, Leslie and I have been involved in a few ministries: I've served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Liturgical Minister, I taught a religious education class for a year, and I'm a First Degree with the Knights of Columbus (I pay my dues, that's about it -- the rest of the red shirts do the heavy lifting). We have four children, three boys and a girl (two you'll often see assisting Mass as altar servers). Any one of these candidates are very qualified, so don't think you can go wrong checking any box on this page. Our church family is in great hands. Thanks!
Sue Gentile
My name is Sue Gentile and I am originally from New York. My husband and I have been members of St. Alphonsus since moving here 5 years ago. I am a CPA with 15 years of experience and an alumni of Arthur Andersen LLP. I taught religious education both here and in my parish in New Jersey for 6 years. While in college, I spent 4 years teaching written communications, English as a Second Language and working with dyslexic students. After coming close to winning the Zionsville School Board election in November against a well-established incumbent, my heart has turned to the church to serve my community in a faith-based environment. With your prayerful consideration, I am asking for your vote. In turn, I am committed to serving with a faithful servant’s heart with the help of the Holy Spirit.

My wife Molly and I have been members of St. Alphonsus since we moved to Zionsville in 2006. We have three young children, Eleanor, Burke and Greer, who bring us incredible joy. I currently serve as a Prayer Announcer, Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. We are grateful to have experienced many of the most special events of our lives at St. Alphonsus, including baptisms and First Communion for our children, Molly’s confirmation after completing RCIA and my spiritual renewal as a member of CRHP Team 13. In my professional career as a lawyer, I help clients solve complex problems, make difficult decisions and develop strategies to effectively communicate. I believe that these experiences ideally equip me to make meaningful contributions as a member of the parish council. I would be humbled to be chosen to be part of the team that leads the parish as we continue to grow and improve together.

I have been blessed. I Graduated from Ohio State University in Industrial Design /Visual Communications. I worked 11 years as an Associate Creative Director in Advertising at DDB Needham Chicago World wide, Creative Director of Advertising for the Stonegate Development in Zionsville for 11 years, and currently work as a Merchadising Manager at Altums Horticultural Center in Zionsville for the last 3 years. My hardest job... raising 4 loving, responsible, catholic children in today's society. I have loved serving St. Alphonsus Parish for over 14 years, by leading the Moms group and Nursery, teaching religious education, working at VBS, doing CHRP #2, and making elephant ears at the parish festival :) I also serve as a Lecture/Reader. Children Kaja 17, Milan,16, Matz 14, Fritz 12, husband Larry. The holy spirit has asked me to share my blessings. "To whom much has been given, much is expected...." - one of my favorite quotes. I hope to bring my "A Game" to the parish, pay it forward, and humbly serve if allowed to do so.
Suzy Mushalla
I am Suzy Mushalla. I have been attending St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church since my husband, Joe, and I moved to Zionsville in the fall of 1995. We have 3 children, Helen (21), Ben (19), and Joey (16). When my children were young, I helped watch the little ones in the nursery and volunteered at the parish festivals. When I entered the Church in 2005, I was able to become a catechist. Since then I have helped lead two First Communion classes, and for the past 2 years, I have had the pleasure of working with Paul and Alexa Sifuentes in bringing the Sophomore class to Confirmation. I have attended several Christ Renews His Parish retreats and joined the teens at Destination Jesus and Antioch Retreats. I have also had the amazing blessing of being a Eucharistic Minister. Thank you for considering me to be a member of the Parish Council. Perhaps I could be a voice for the high schoolers of our parish.

I have been a parishioner at St. Alphonsus Parish for the last twenty-eight years. I raised three children in this parish and my husband went through RCIA several years ago. I have cantored and sung in the choir for about twenty-five years and have participated in Christ Renews His Parish. I would appreciate the privilege of serving on the Parish Pastoral Council. Please pray to the Holy Spirit to help you in your decisions. Thank you and God Bless you.
