Good times are planned for Sunday, May 19 as the annual Parish Picnic returns to celebrate some exciting occasions. Get ready for this not-to-miss event hosted by our Pastoral Council.
What are we celebrating?- Pentecost: "The birthday of the Church"
- The Ordination Anniversary for Father O'Keeffe
- Father O'Keeffe's birthday
- The fulfillment of our church's mortgage
Come rain or shine, we'll be kicking off the event following the 10:30 a.m. Mass with picnic fare, birthday cake and family-fun games! Just follow the crowd to the parish grounds.
In addition to all the celebrations, Pastoral Council wanted to share the news of the parish fulfilling its final payment on the church mortgage which originated in November 2003 when the building was constructed. To mark this occasion, Father O'Keeffe will have a mortgage burning at the picnic. Now, the parish only has the mortgage of the most recent building renovations project that is being fulfilled by parishioner gifts to Fruitful Harvest or the building fund using monthly gold envelopes.
