"He who has two coats, let him share with him who has none." Luke 3:11
It's sad to say that summer has flown by, mornings are much cooler, and temperatures will continue dropping as we head towards winter.
As you pack up those summer swimsuits and bring out the sweaters, keep an eye out for coats and blankets that you may not need this year.
The Knights of Columbus will once again team up with the Religious Education Ministry to help bring warmth to those in need.
Here's how you can participate in the "Share the Warmth" coat and blanket drive:
Find a coat/blanket that is new or clean and gently used (kid's or adult's).
Bring items to church or your child's RE class October 3 - 11.
Place inside specially marked containers located in the vestibule of the narthex and Weitzel Hall.
Following the "Share the Warmth" coat and blanket collection, the Knights of Columbus will transfer your donations to the Caring Center to be distributed to families in need.
Last year, the parish's drive served over 162 people with a warm coat and 60 families with warm blankets, hats, and gloves.
Thank you for your generous donations and for making a difference for someone this winter!
